Your ‘WHY’ is the key to your results

Many people WANT to improve their health and fitness, but why is it that:

  • Some make the decision to do something about it while others never start
  • Some can stick with it while others decide it’s too hard and give up
  • Some are successful and achieve their goals while others don’t

There’s no right or wrong and everybody’s journey is different.

But saying ‘I want to lose weight and tone up’ just doesn’t cut it.

You’re not going to get out of bed for wanting to simply tone up.

I’m sorry but you have to go deeper than that.

I’ve seen women with plenty of challenging circumstances which could have easily been obstacles for them.

They’ve run a business, had 4 kids in various activities, husband on night shift and still managed to lose 30kg and train 4x a week.

How did they manage to achieve their goals???

 

#1 reason. They were clear on their WHY!

They knew their reasons they desperately needed change.

They were fed up and knew if they didn’t change something then nothing in their life would change.

They had a crystal clear vision in their mind of the person they wanted to become.

They wanted energy to keep up with their family.

They wanted to feel proud of themselves and confident in their clothes.

They wanted to feel attractive and comfortable with their partner.

They had a burning desire to achieve their goals and become a better example to their children.

 

They know their Values!

Values are more important than your attitude because your emotions change daily.

Today you might be excited about getting fit & exercising but tomorrow you might not feel like it.

Therefore you need to keep referring back to your ‘why,’ your ‘values’, your ‘reason’ for getting into action regardless of how you FEEL in the moment.

To achieve success knowing what you want is critical, but first in order to set goals you need to know your values behind it.

 

What are your primary values?

Your values are the secret ingredient!

What is important to you? What are you passionate about? What gives meaning to your life? What gives you true happiness?

For example my primary values are:

My family, health, spirituality, relationships, personal development/growth & my business.

I want to have a fit and healthy body that gives me energy to keep up with my family and live a life full of experiences, fun, travel and building memories for my kids, Tom and I.

When I make a decision where to invest my time it’s simple because I know my values and if it doesn’t fit with my values then I won’t do it.

If it does then I prioritise time towards it.

Eg: I would prioritise prepping food, reading, working out, or spending time with Tom and my kids over switching on the tv, because tv adds no value to my life.

 

You will make time for things you value!!!

When you are clear on your values & live by them, you can achieve the results you want.

The secret is to change the way you think. Your mindset is incredibly powerful.

Don’t react to what life throws your way.

Write down exactly what you desire.

Once you do you will take the steps necessary & in line with your values & make them a priority.

Believe in yourself. Believe you can achieve anything you desire. Believe you are worth it…because you are!
