How has working with Lisa helped you?
This is a story about my journey over the last nine months. I decided after I turned 49 in October 2016 that I wanted to be “fit for my fiftieth “. My thyroid levels had been elevated, were now borderline and I knew it was time to take action.
I used to see the group training whilst walking my dog and also the individual PT glasses run by Lisa and thought “I am sure it can’t be too hard”. I contacted Lisa from Optimal Health and Fitness in November 2016 and began my journey not long after.
From the moment I turned up to the first session I was made to feel welcome and realised that everybody had their own goal. With Lisa’s extensive knowledge, encouragement and time to listen, my journey began. I remember after my first session how my body ached but I knew this was the start.
With a flexible group training plan or personal training sessions at Optimal Health & Fitness there is something for everyone. Even though I had always kept myself reasonably fit with walking and cycling, I needed something more to help me tone up and change my body shape. I have always made sure I attend at least 4 sessions a week from 6am to 7am and where possible try to include a fifth session.
Once I started to see the results it gave me the boost I needed to keep going. Yes, it can be hard and after just coming through the winter months and it’s warm in bed, who wants to get up and train but when you see the results and meet all the others at the session it is so much easier. Lisa always says being consistent is the key and this has worked for me.
So if you are wondering if this is for you – be like me, make the decision to turn up and the results will be yours.
