Want to have BETTER HEALTH & FITNESS…. READ books about it.
Want to improve your thinking….READ books about it.
Want to become a better, stronger, happier, healthier, more confident person…..READ!!!!
Health and fitness is just as much mental as it is physical.
Reading is so good for your soul. You learn to think bigger and gain a broader perspective. If you’re on a health and fitness goal, then reading books on the subject will help keep you on track, inspired and disciplined. You gain a better understanding about what you’re doing and why.
In addition to reading books you can listen to audio’s, read articles online, listen to podcasts, ted talks, watch documentaries, attend workshops or seminars and more. The idea is to surround yourself with material that is going to elevate your mindset and thinking. Fill your mind with information that is conducive to your goal and the results that you’re working towards. Influence is an incredibly powerful tool. It can make or break you. Influence not only comes from people, but comes from anything in your environment that you expose yourself to.
Unfortunately you’re going to face distractions in life, you’re going to lose motivation after the initial enthusiasm and excitement wears off. What will help you achieve your goal and attain success if to immerse yourself with content that will keep you inspired and educated. When you understand more about food, health, your mind, your body, willpower, fitness, goal setting and your attitude you will find that you’ll naturally become more disciplined and focused.
Think about this example for yourself: If I could spend 30 mins a night watching a show on tv vs reading a book or listening to audio’s, where would my time be better invested? What would I gain out of the tv show, what value would it add to my life?
Now consider filling your mind with a good book or audio. A small 30 mins a night would give you 3.5hrs a week of extra knowledge. Compound that over an entire year and you would gain an incredible 182hrs a year!!!! Imagine that investment into yourself year after year. Not only will you gain increased knowledge but you will also see in yourself the power of a stronger mindset, more confidence, a positive attitude and a better perspective on the way you look at things and deal with situations.
Now I want you to think on an even bigger scale and ask yourself: How would that small insignificant daily decision impact other areas of my life? I can assure you it will have a huge impact not only on yourself, but would have a ripple effect elsewhere. All of that knowledge, positivity and perspective you have gained will help you teach the same principles and values to your children, partner, family and friends. It will improve your value in the workplace. It will improve your relationship as you will feel more confident and happier in yourself and this will reflect out to your partner and family.
Everybody wants contentment in all area’s of our lives. Our health influences our happiness, confidence and how we feel within ourselves.
You have the power of choice as to how and where you invest your time and energy. Make your time count!!!
